Training and Specialization Tracks

Gaining practical rabbinic training and experience is an essential component of your education here. You will graduate from Hebrew College prepared for the varied responsibilities of being a rabbi.

Practical Training

Throughout the program, you will take classes on rabbinic leadership, pastoral counseling, life-cycle events, homiletics and prayer-leading skills.

Supervised Internships

During the final two years of the program, students have supervised internships in local Jewish institutions, providing them with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and earn some income. Hebrew College has developed partnerships with many leading Boston congregations from across the religious spectrum, as well as Hillels, day schools and other innovative Jewish organizations.
